Can I take Zantac while on Bentyl?
I just got a prescription for Bentyl for IBS. I’ve taken Zantac for years for acid reflux. I know that Bentyl is, in part, an antacid, and my mom told me not to take my Zantac while I’m on the Bentyl (3x a day for 3 days, then 2x a day for 2 weeks). My doctor never said anything about it. My guts are still spasming and I have awful heartburn. Can I take the Zantac, or should I just give the Bentyl time?

The best way to find out..call your pharmacist. He will know exactly what you can or can't take with your new medicine. Whether it's over the counter or prescription. Since you are suffering. If there aren't any 24 hr pharmacies in your area. Just call one in another city or State…you'll get the info you need.
