How long does it take to digest all your food?
I have to take this pill (carafate) on an empty stomach and I can't take it in the morning cuz I take another pill(nexium) that will interact with it. How long can I wait to take my meds? I'm thinking before lunch time.

it can take days.. especially meats. if a pill directions says to take it on an empty stomach it doesnt mean literally. just wait some hours after eating to take it.

If you are suppose to take it on an empty stomach .. anywhere from 2 to 4 hours between meals is how long it can take. Good Luck !

you should have spoken with your doctor or pharmacist. Usually you should wait atleast 5 hrs in between but it depends how bad your acid reflex is..Speak with your doctor
