I am 11 weeks pregnant. Have suffered from morning sickness 24 7 since week 5. Severe food aversions, and smells, and was dry heaving and sometimes throwing up 5-6xs a day up until about a week ago. I have read everything on internet and tried just about all.. thinking I'm starting to feel better and am taking reglan, but now headaches are kicking in-tylenol doesn't cut it. I am going to try chlortrimeton today- that helped early on for allergies and I'm sure the headaches are sinus related. Anyway… any out there sugg.? And also, I was not reg. exercising when got preg, outside of walking. Needless to say, I feel so completely out of shape as I have been really lazy, or as lazy as I can be and still keep 2 1/2 year old happy thru all of this morn sickness etc. Any exerc or sites recomm. for preg safe stretching and shape stuff that has worked for any of you? I'm a small person but am afraid going to gain too much as I have to never have comp. empty stomach. Thnx in advance!!

My son was born on jan 18th of this year. He was not suppose to be born until april 18 of this year. Which makes him 3 months premie. He was diagnosed with gerd in the hospital. We are giving him zantac and reglan for this. He is always playing with his tongue, grunting, and turning red. Do you think the nutrimigan formula they sometimes give to colic babies will help him seems they think colic could be undiagnosed gerd? His cousin who is the same age as him but was full term does the same thing with her tongue. Could this be a sign?

Reglan is the brand name for Metaclopramide which is an anti-nasea medication. It can be used in humans, dogs, and cats. It's a pretty safe drug. Side effects include drowsiness. I accidentally overdosed my daughter when she was 6 weeks old with Reglan. I was hysterical and had to call poison control hotline! They figured the dose I gave her exceeded the maximum allowable safe dose. She slept great that night and was otherwise just fine. I don't recommend that, read your drug labels repeatedly.

Hi. I have a really bad case of Acid Reflux I take aciphex once daily and Reglan 4x a day.(Plus Gaviscon when needed) My husband and I are trying to conceive. I just want to know if anyone out there can give me their advice/or what they experienced with Acid Reflux and their pregnancy.

Or do you know about reactions to Reglan: feelings of impending doom, shudders, feelings of flight, severe panic episodes… And how long do they last? Can they keep coming back?

The side effects shouldn't last long. I've never heard of Reglan being prescribed for anxiety (usually this is listed as a side-effect), but then I don't claim to know everything. It's usually prescribed for nausea, since it causes to the stomach to empty into the small intestine more quickly, and also strengthens the lower espoph. sphincter. If you continue to have anxiety like symptoms bring this to the attention of your physician, it may be due to something else.
