I am a 44 year old female. For the last two years, I have had heartburn while sleeping. In the past three months, this has increased to constant heartburn and a feeling of burning in the stomach. Last week I noticed a lump between my lower rib cage. It is painful to the touch. I tested positive and was treated h. pylori four years ago. I went to my primary care two weeks ago, who put me on zantac 150 and tested me for h. pylor, which came back negative. The zantac has reduced the symptoms, but I am still fairly uncomfortable. I am considered slightly overweight on the bmi scale. I am 5′9, 180 pounds. I have had four pregnancies, two surviving children, an emergency ectopic and a miscarriage. Any help would be appreciated.

I am dying of the worst heartburn ever…everyday!!!
I am pregnant and it gets worse everyday. I have been taking zantac 150..a miracle drug if you ask me. The dosage is no more than 2 a day. However…..2 a day no longer cuts it for me. Zantac is pretty safe right???? Is it really that bad to take 3 a day. Anyone have any experience with this drug?

The doctor has my son on Zantac twice a day for acid reflux. It has a very strong mint smell. When I give it to him is seems like he spits more of it out than he is getting. Does anyone know if you can mix it with water or formula or have any ideas on getting him to take it easier?

Zithromax is an antibiotic. Zantac and Prilosec are both medications to reduce the amount of acid produced by your stomach. Neither reacts to Zithromax, according to drugs.com, and they work to produce the same effect, but you cannot replace Zithromax with either one of them. If you are asked to take Prilosec in addition to the Zithromax and you would rather take Zantac, it should work just fine.

Oh, you’re going to love this….They took the dog off 1 med & 1 antibiotic, continued the fluid injections, and gave us a new antibiotic injection pack, and liquid belly-lube maalox-type med, and ZANTAC!Have you SEEN these pills? They’re TINY. And I need to split them into 10 equal parts. So far I’ve gotten a) CRUMBS, and b) SEVEN plus powder. What do YOU suggest?

I've had acid reflux for a long time now. I take Zantac and Gavescon every day. I want to ween off of these though, and try some more natural aproaches. I'm drinking pinaple juice, and that seems to be helping. Any opinions out there on alternative medicines for acid reflux? I also have a problem with belching and coughing up food by itself without acid. I don't know how the belching and undigested food factor in, but there you have it.
