I have upper back pain, tightness going around ribs, nausea, pain in upper stomach – HELP?

Pain started in back just above waist, spread to ribs which caused a "crushing" pain and spasams, pain under right ribs, bloating in upper stomach so painful it hurts to walk, horrible nausea, feeling that food is stopping in upper stomach and never going down, feeling as if a rock is moving up and down in my esophogus (sp?), feel as if food is coming out if I bend over, eating even small meals causes horrible upper stomach pain and bloating as if I had eated a entire pizza. Been to ER twice and getting the run around. Pain so bad that I sit up and night crying. Any info would help me a great deal. I have been on Prevacid, Zantac and more.

ER's are not geared to look for diagnoses that do not require immediate urgent care. You should see a doctor as soon as possible and describe your symptoms, how they change in relation to your posture, eating or antacids as well as you can. An ulcer is likely, but other conditions need to be considered. Ulcers can be diagnosed in various ways and endoscopy is recommended if you have not responded to antacid treatment such as Zantac/Prevacid.Other diagnoses your doctor may want to consider and the tests that can be used to check for these conditions are:gallstones: Ultrasound testpancreatitis: bloodworkhepatitis: bloodworksliding hernia: endoscopy/Upper GI seriesUlcers are frequently caused by an infection that can easily be cured with a course of antibiotics. Your doctor may want to test you for Helicobacter infection via a blood or stool test if you are diagnosed with Ulcer disease.

You need to see a Dr.I would say you are having gallbladder problems.Yes,I think it's your gallbladder.

I agree with dmdoc. You can't get a diagnosis on Yahoo Answers. There is not enough information on the entire World Wide Web to help you. You have way too many symptoms for this to be something simple. Please get to a Doctor so they can run some tests and diagnose you properly.Good Luck!

Whatever might be the reason you have the clear symptoms of extreme gastric irritation. It could be a gastric ulcer/infection, pathology of the bile producing system with reflux gastric irritation, or disease of the pancrease, etc. Firstly you need a docotrs advice, preferably gastroenterlogist- emergency edoscopy?. A ranitidine inj. , drotaverine inj. i/m should be helpful to you. First aid tips-Try ice packs on your upper abdomen, avoid food or water intake. An antacid suspension could be of some use to you.
