Is prevacid safe to take during pregnancy?
I work in a small dr’s office.. one of the half brained nurses gave me prevacid the other day for my heartburn. I guess I should trust her but just wanted other opinions!

You need to see you OBGYN now!! I found this info on Prevacids web site.And NEVER, EVER take ANY medicine when your pregnant unless your OBGYN says it's OK first. That nurse wasn't a doctor and shouldn't have been handing out medication without a doctors approval first.WARNINGSCLARITHROMYCIN SHOULD NOT BE USED IN PREGNANT WOMEN EXCEPT IN CLINICAL CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE NO ALTERNATIVE THERAPY IS APPROPRIATE. IF PREGNANCY OCCURS WHILE TAKING CLARITHROMYCIN, THE PATIENT SHOULD BE APPRISED OFTHE POTENTIAL HAZARD TO THE FETUS.

I am not a doctor, but I did take it when I was pregnant with my daughter and there where no complications. But of course please do ask a doctor.
