Feels like….?
hi, it feels like there is a lump in my throat when i swallow and also i have pain in my throat when i swallow…no blood, a very slight hoarsness and tickling cough, but not tha much..i dont smoke..can anyone tell me what this can be? i also recently had acid reflux and heartburn which i am taking prilosec otc for starting today…thanks for your answers..

Could be a hundred things. If it is viral, nothing you can do. If it is bacterial, you need to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. We can't diagnose you here, there are few doctors here, and the doctors who are here would tell you to go to a doctor.

well if it swells and you start having fever, go to the doc, you may need antibiotics.Neanwhile have some honey mixed with lemon juice (works for me)Oh forget about the lemon juice as you have heartburn. Just the honey.

If there's pain, there may be an infection. Go to the doctor, you may have strep. Your acid reflux may have caused it too. Either way you should go to a doctor.

I used to get a lump in my throat could be many reasons, mine was I was nervous and anxious, stay calm, you may not be drinking enough fluids…I'd go to the doctor if it continues….God bless

i too used to suffer with this,i had a duadenum ulser which gave me heart burn,the doc prescribed losec which helped,but idealy you need the old camera down your throat just to make sure,dont worry too much it took 3yrs before they relised what was goin on,the tabs you are on work realy well give it a few days and you will notice the difference.all the best

I get acid reflux and heartburn also and take the same medicine. When I forget to take my medicine, I get a very sore throat (feels sharp as a knife) then I take my pill and the pain goes away. If I drink coke or eat to many sweets, chocolate that is when it happens. It sounds like you might have that and maybe a viral infection, or strep throat.

i suffer with tonsilitus all the time. swelling of the tonsils. go see ur doc, hopefully its an infection and not mumps
