How Long Will It Take For Prilosec To Start Working For My 6 Month Old?

My 6 month old was taking Prilosec for about a week with little improvement. The GI specialist just upped his dose A LOT. But he is still not taking a bottle, and acting like it hurts. Will it take a few days for increased dose to make a difference, or should it be working the first day?

It will take a couple of dosages before you see an improvement.

  2. Sourkand Says:

It should take anywhere from 3-7 days to see results because the body needs to build up an effective level of the medication for it to become effective.
