Prilosec otc?
hi, does anyone here take prilosec? does it heal erosions as well as prevent acid and heartburn? i think i have a throat erosion from my acid reflux..is this possible and how well does prilosec work? does it also raise blood pressure?thanks

Yes, Prilosec will help aid in healing erosions simply by reducing the adic production and giving the irritated area time to heal. Prilosec OTC works as well as the prescribed version… (Just my opinion) and as far as I know It does not raise blood pressure… although reading the warnings on the box wouldn't hurt.

I have used Prilosec and really liked it. You only have to take it for 2 weeks and I haven't had heartburn since January. I've heard that it will last up to 6 months… we'll see.Regarding healing erosion of the throat, I don't believe it will do that. But it will prevent further damage. I also don't know about the blood pressure. I normally have around 120/70, so it really wasn't a concern for me.
