I just got a prescription for Bentyl for IBS. I’ve taken Zantac for years for acid reflux. I know that Bentyl is, in part, an antacid, and my mom told me not to take my Zantac while I’m on the Bentyl (3x a day for 3 days, then 2x a day for 2 weeks). My doctor never said anything about it. My guts are still spasming and I have awful heartburn. Can I take the Zantac, or should I just give the Bentyl time?
My baby is 5 weks and was diagnosed with acid reflux at 2 weeks she vomits everything(forcable vomitting). They are considering surgry but I’m so scared. The medicines aren’t working (Zantac, Axid, Reglan) I just dont know what to do please give me advice.
hey there, i am a pharma rep. I havent sold that particular drug but it is a good one. I have taken it before. It is great for ulcers and bad acid reflux or heart burn. it is a strong drug, but little to no serious side effects that you should worry about. talk to your doctor if you are worried. oh, and here in canada it is the most expensive drug in its class. There are just effective…. and cheeper drugs avail.hope that helps
I need expert advise, so if youre not an expert please don’t respond, unless you’ve had the same problems. I have a daushter that is 1 month. She was diagnosed with GERD( acid reflux) when she was 2 weeks.Nothing stays down even after the rice cereal, she cries all night, and I just want her to be comfortable. The doctors keep perscribing her different medicines( Zantac, Axid, Reglan) but nothing seems to work for her. We’re going to see a specialist but not soon enough. Her doctor said that we might have to do surgery, but before we do that I just need to know is there any other medicines we should try or is there anything else we can do to help her befor putting here through surgery because shes so young? I used to get stomach ulcers and acid reflux and gastritis all the time, back when I was in college. hi, does anyone here take prilosec? does it heal erosions as well as prevent acid and heartburn? i think i have a throat erosion from my acid reflux..is this possible and how well does prilosec work? does it also raise blood pressure?thanks

hi, it feels like there is a lump in my throat when i swallow and also i have pain in my throat when i swallow…no blood, a very slight hoarsness and tickling cough, but not tha much..i dont smoke..can anyone tell me what this can be? i also recently had acid reflux and heartburn which i am taking prilosec otc for starting today…thanks for your answers..
Doctor claims its acid reflux, but I have been using nexium for over a month and it has not helped.
